Launch viewing base camp. Stay here the night before and after any KSC launch. Beach + rockets = perfect combo.

Cocoa Beach Pier

Historic 800-foot pier with restaurants, bars, shops, and fishing. Free to walk. Great for sunset. Live music on weekends.

Ron Jon Surf Shop

World's largest surf shop, open 24/7. Free. Even if you don't surf, it's an experience. Kids love it.

Beach Day & Surf Lessons

Cocoa Beach is one of the best beginner surf spots on the East Coast. Lessons ~$70-90 for 2 hours. Lori Wilson Park has free parking and facilities.

Port Canaveral

Cruise port with waterfront restaurants, boat watching, and the Exploration Tower (free) with space and nature exhibits.

Space Coast Nature Trail

Free. Paved trail through coastal hammock and mangroves. Great for birding and a peaceful walk between beach and launch activities.

Local favorite for grouper, shrimp, and crab. Casual, family-owned, reasonable prices. In Cocoa Beach proper.

The Fat Snook

Upscale seafood in a small, cozy space. Creative menu, great wine list. Reservations essential. Not ideal for young kids.

Sandbar Sports Grill

Beachfront dive bar with great food. Fish tacos, burgers, cold beer. Live music. Fun, casual, kid-friendly until evening.

Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront — oceanfront pool, direct beach access, on-site restaurants. $200-350/night. Book early for launch weeks.
